Food allergens can be classified according to EC Directive 2000-13, in the following groups:

1. Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelled wheat, whole wheat or hybrids thereof) and derived products

2. Peanuts and derived products

3. Soybeans and derived products

4. Nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, pecans, Brazil nuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts and Queensland nuts) and derived products

5. Celery and derived products

6. Mustard and derived products

7. Sesame seeds and derived products
